Let us share several of our favorite places with you...
ones that are away from the tourist hubbub,
where you will feel that Paris has welcomed you.

Let us share some of our favorites with you...
Even if you don't rent one of our apartments, here are
some addresses of places that we go back to again and
again, because we think they are special, and will give
you a feeling that you got to know a bit of "secret"
Paris.
We love to eat out and we go to all sorts of places--fancy
and chic and simple and modest.
We thought this restaurant was a hair salon, but it's
actually a very "in" bistro, with imaginative
food. It was even noted in the New York Times last November,
but happily has survived that fame!
Chez Georgette, 29 rue St.
Georges.

The unusual and beautiful can be found
at Annam
Shopping is always a
temptation in Paris, and the possibilities are unlimited.
We only mention one of our favorites, which is special
because it is not only unique, beautiful, but also supports
local crafts in Vietnam.
The shop is Annam, 82, rue de Rome, in the 8th arrondissement.

The owners have beautiful, and unusual articles made

Everything is possible in Paris in
August
One of the best kept
secrets is the pleasure of Paris in August. For many
years, only people who weren't "in the know"
came to Paris, but today Paris is a delight in August.
The city takes on a village-like feel, everyone is relaxed
and Paris becomes again small and intimate.
And now, there is "Paris Plage:" a celebration
and festival along the right bank of the Seine where
you will feel like you are on the Riviera, but will all
the fun of Paris at your fingertips.
Go early in the day, stake out your free beach chair
(compliments of the city of Paris), take a picnic and
sun lotion and bask in the delight of sunbathing in
the historic heart of Paris. The Romans never had it
better!
